Transparent is the reason to choose this one over the others in the category. Most sleeves are opaque, which hides the shaft entirely; this one keeps it visible underneath, which is a different experience entirely and the reason people ask for clear specifically rather than accepting whatever is closest.

195 mm long and 38 mm across, with a stated 5 mm wall and about 138 g of material. That wall thickness is what separates it from the thin film sleeves sold at the bottom of the range: 5 mm holds its shape and carries texture rather than collapsing onto the shaft, and 138 g is a sleeve you feel the weight of rather than a sheath.

The texture is moulded rather than painted, so it does not wear off. Inside the sleeve it runs as ribs and dotted panels down the length; outside it is the clear wall that shows all of it.

The base is a flared skirt rather than a ring. Fold the skirt back, work the sleeve down from the open end, and it stays against the root without a strap. No join along the wall, which is where cheaper sleeves split first.

The glans is closed, which keeps the tip of the shaft enclosed rather than exposed at the end. That also means it needs drying internally after washing rather than draining on its own.

Material is TPE rather than silicone — clear, stretchy, and porous enough to need proper drying. Water-based lubricant only; silicone oil draws the plasticiser out and the clear surface clouds and goes tacky.

Clean with warm water and a mild soap, dry inside and out, and store it away from heat. Clear TPE takes on a yellow cast if it is left in sunlight, and that cast does not come off.

Getting it on is the part that goes wrong. Roll the sleeve rather than pulling it, and use water-based lubricant inside as well as outside — a dry sleeve of this wall thickness will tear at the base before it goes on, and once the skirt has torn it does not hold.

Where it differs from the opaque sleeves in the category. Those hide the shaft and rely on the moulded detail entirely; this one is chosen for the opposite reason, and the two are not substitutes for each other. If the aim is realism, an opaque sleeve with a moulded glans is the better answer; if the aim is visible texture over the shaft, this is the one that does it.

Replacing it is a matter of when, not whether. Clear TPE goes cloudy with repeated washing, and a cloudy sleeve stops being worth having for the reason it was bought.
